PVD technology, especially ion plating (IP) technology, is mainly used in the surface treatment of watch case and strap in watch industry. Compared with traditional water electroplating technology, IP ion plating has no three wastes discharge and no use of cyanide in the production process. It is environmentally friendly and is a kind of green environmental protection technology. Moreover, the performance of the coating is far beyond that of water plating. The IP ion coating has high purity, uniform thickness, good compactness, good adhesion and good wear resistance. The application of IP ion plating in watch manufacturing industry has greatly improved the wearing time of watch appearance coating coating, and promoted the development and progress of watch manufacturing industry to a certain extent.

At present, the common IP ion plating processes on the market are: ion plating gold (IPG), ion plating rose gold (IPRG), ion plating black (ipblack), ion plating steel (IPS), etc. The use of IP ion plating technology for gold plating can not only save the amount of gold, but also improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the coating, thus greatly improving the service life of the coating. A large number of research data show that the thickness of IPG gold coating (thickness is 0.1-0.2 μ m) is only 1 / 50 of the traditional water solution gold plating layer (thickness is 5 μ m), and its wearing time is 3-4 times of that of traditional water solution gold plating layer.

IPG - is to deposit a layer of tin coating with thickness of 0.8-1.0 μ m on the substrate as the bottom layer, and then a layer of gold layer with thickness of 0.1-0.2 μ m is deposited on the tin coating. According to different color requirements, the color of gold can be divided into 1n color, 2n color or 3N color. The color of IP gold layer is uniform and beautiful, and its temperature resistance can reach 500 ℃. Its normal wearing and using time is more than two years.

IPRG is to deposit a hard layer of TiCN coating with a thickness of 0.8-1.0 μ m on the substrate as the bottom layer, and then a rose gold layer with a thickness of 0.1-0.2 μ m is deposited on the TiCN coating. According to the different color requirements, the rose gold color can be divided into 4N color (pink gold) and 5N color (red gold). The IP rose gold layer is uniform and beautiful, and its temperature resistance can reach 175 ℃ More than one year.

Ipblack is to deposit a layer of black coating on the substrate. Usually, the elements of this black coating are mainly C element, and some metal elements are doped to form various coating components, such as tic + C, CRC + C or DLC.

IPS - is to deposit a layer of stainless steel color hard chromium coating on the substrate. This hard chromium coating is stable in the atmosphere, can maintain its luster for a long time, and has high hardness, good wear resistance, corrosion resistance and heat resistance.
