Research on vacuum ion plating of brass parts and other pvd coating machines to replace electroplating. Brass parts are copper-zinc alloys, which have good processing and forming performance and are widely used. They are mainly used in sanitary ware, watches, hardware and other industries, such as faucets, bathing utensils, Cases, straps, locks, etc., but brass parts have poor corrosion resistance in long-term service, especially in the atmosphere, bathroom and sea fog. The current process is: brass parts processing, forming and polishing → ultrasonic cleaning → electroplating chromium (ion chromium plating) → finished product. There are problems in the current process:
①Three wastes (exhaust gas, waste liquid, waste) in the electroplating process are discharged to pollute the environment, and the three wastes must be treated, which requires a large investment and is difficult to eradicate.
②There is hexavalent chromium in the discharge of chromium electroplating process, which is carcinogenic and harmful to human body.
③The nickel (Ni) element contained in the electroplating layer is easy to cause skin cancer.
In order to solve the problem of the current process, we focus on the research of
pvd coating machine brass parts, zinc-based alloys, and aluminum alloy vacuum ion plating to replace the electroplating technology. Brass is a copper-zinc alloy, in which the zinc element is very volatile, and we have solved it this puzzle. Vacuum ion plating of brass parts of vacuum coating machine replaces electroplating technology. The process is: processing, shaping and polishing of brass parts → ultrasonic cleaning → vacuuming in vacuum furnace → sputtering cleaning → preparation of intermediate layer alloy by ion plating → ion chrome plating → finished product showing Silver white; or ion plating to prepare intermediate layer alloy → ion plating titanium nitride (zirconium nitride) → ion gold plating → ion plating transparent ceramic film → finished product is golden yellow. Features:
①All ion plating processes are carried out under vacuum conditions, without the discharge of the three wastes, without polluting the environment, and without the need for the treatment and investment of the three wastes.
②Preparation of intermediate layer alloy by ion plating + ion chromium plating; preparation of intermediate layer alloy by ion plating + ion plating nitride + ion gold plating + ion plating transparent ceramic film, etc. are all carried out in one furnace, and completed at one time, with high production efficiency.
③There is a transition layer of 1-2 μm between the ion plating layer and the base material, and the adhesion of the coating film is good, but there is no transition layer between the electroplating film and the base material.
④Compared with electroplating film, ion plating film is dense and has good corrosion resistance. The corrosion resistance of ion plating film with a thickness of 2 μm is better than that of electroplating film.
⑤ There is no hexavalent chromium in the ion plating process, and the coating does not contain nickel or cadmium elements, which is harmless to the human body and does not cause cancer.
