Research on Aluminum Plating Process of Pvd Coating Machine

Pvd Coating Machine aluminum plating is a process of heating and melting aluminum metal in a vacuum state until evaporation, where aluminum atoms condense on the surface of polymer materials, forming an extremely thin aluminum layer. Vacuum aluminum plating requires a smooth, flat surface and uniform thickness of the substrate; Appropriate stiffness and friction coefficient; Surface tension greater than 38Dyn/cm2; Good thermal performance, able to withstand the thermal radiation and condensation heat of the evaporation source; The moisture content of the substrate is less than 0.1%. Commonly used aluminum plating substrates include polyester (PET), polypropylene (PP), polyamide (PA), polyethylene (PE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and other thin films, with process requirements; The vacuum degree shall not be lower than 103PA to avoid brown stripes or uneven aluminum layer thickness; Control the tension of the system, turn on the cooling system, and avoid stretching deformation of the film when heated; Accurately control the coiling speed (280-320m/min), aluminum feeding speed (0.4-0.7m/min? 2mm aluminum wire), and evaporation boat heating current to obtain the required aluminum layer thickness (100-300A °) for the product; A certain amount of dry primer can be pre coated on the film, fully dried, and then vacuum aluminized to improve the adhesion between the aluminum layer and the film. Then apply a certain amount of protective resin on the aluminum film to prevent oxidation and deterioration of the aluminum layer. The aluminum plated film formed by this process is friction resistant and not easily deteriorated.

The common quality problems and solutions for vacuum aluminum plating are as follows:
1. Brown stripes appear on the surface of the film
Reason:
① Solution to low vacuum: Clean the aluminum feeding and evaporation equipment, cooling system, unwinding and coiling equipment, and guide rollers in the vacuum chamber; Check the vacuum system; Reduce environmental humidity.
② The film releases gas. Solution: Film pre drying; Extend the vacuum pumping time.
③ Excessive aluminum spraying. Solution: Increase vehicle speed; Reduce the current of the evaporation boat; Reduce the aluminum feeding speed.
④ There are impurities inside the evaporation boat. Solution: Clean the evaporation boat and heat shield board.
⑤ Evaporation boat aging. Solution: Replace the evaporation boat.

2. Holes appear in the film during aluminum plating
Reason:
① The aluminum material inside the evaporation boat is too full. Solution: Reduce the aluminum feeding speed; Increase the current of the evaporation boat.
② There is a short circuit between the evaporation boats in the vacuum chamber. Solution: Eliminate short circuits.
③ Impurity splashing in the vacuum chamber
Solution: Clean the vacuum chamber wall, aluminum feeding and evaporation plating device, cooling drum, unwinding and coiling device, and each guide roller.

3. The film exhibits stretching phenomenon during aluminum plating on the Pvd Coating Machine
Reason:
① The substrate tension is too high. Solution: Adjust the tension control system for unwinding and coiling, and reduce the tension appropriately.
② The cooling system is malfunctioning. Solution: Check the cooling system and troubleshoot it.
