The smart window glass of the vacuum coating machine is a smart film with electrochromic, photochromic, thermochromic, and gas-induced color change on the glass.
There are many types of smart window glass films, which are classified into W03, NiO, VO2, Ti02 according to the composition; according to the cause of discoloration, there are electrochromic, photochromic, thermochromic, gas-induced discoloration, etc. W03 film is one of the first reversible inorganic color-causing materials discovered. It has good electrochromic (caused by the double injection of small cations and cations), photochromic (caused by ultraviolet radiation) and gastrochromic properties.
W03 film is a typical cathode electrochromic material. The newly prepared original W03 film is a light yellow translucent film. In the process of discoloration, the color becomes darker when it is colored, from light blue to dark blue, and returns to a transparent state when it fades. The electrochromic voltage applied to the W03 film is 3V. After W03 is doped with MoO3, it can change the color of W03, which is more suitable for the sensitive areas of the human eye. The landing voltage is -1.7V, and the fade voltage is ten 1.9V. The W03 film gas-chromic window has a simple structure, and can realize continuous control and adjustment of visible light and near-infrared radiation transmittance in a larger range. The adjustment rate is 5% to 75% in the visible light part.
Seal the four sides of two pieces of glass coated with W03 film, and reserve air vents to form a hollow air-induced color window. Pass through hydrogen and argon (hydrogen content 5%), until the color window turns blue; through oxygen, until the color window fades.
Smart window glass W03 thin film coating process adopts intermediate frequency power supply and twin unbalanced magnetron sputtering technology.
Performance test: The discoloration reaction of the film was carried out in a self-made two-electrode electrochemical cell, using ITO glass coated with W03 film as one electrode, and another ITO film as the corresponding electrode, using 1moL/L LiC104/PC as Electrolyte, apply a voltage of 3V between the two electrodes, and control the coloring and fading of the film by changing the polarity of the voltage.
