In order to improve the operation efficiency of hypersonic wind tunnel of pvd coating machine and meet the test demand under new situation, the vacuum support system is reformed. After the renovation, the operation and maintenance cost of the vacuum system is reduced, the operating environment is improved, and the wind tunnel test efficiency is significantly increased. This paper introduces the renovation scheme of vacuum support system, and compares the performance of the system before and after the renovation.

The vacuum system of pvd coating machine is an important power support system of hypersonic blow-suction wind tunnel, and the support ability of vacuum system directly restricts the test ability of hypersonic wind tunnel. The Φ1 m hypersonic wind tunnel, Φ0.3 m hypersonic low-density wind tunnel and hypersonic arc wind tunnel of China Aerodynamics Research and Development Center share a set of vacuum system, which has been running for nearly 40 years, and gradually can not meet the increasing requirements of wind tunnel test. At present, the main suction equipment of vacuum system of pvd coating machine is H-600 slide valve vacuum pump, which is oil-sealed mechanical pump. On the one hand, the unit is seriously aging, the operation efficiency is low, and the maintenance cost is too high. On the other hand, due to the reaction of vacuum pump oil and arc ablation products, the normal operation of vacuum pump is damaged, and the environment is seriously polluted, which restricted the completion of the test task. In order to meet the increasing demand of wind tunnel test, improve the support ability of vacuum system and ensure the health of operators, it is necessary to upgrade the vacuum system.
